Dear Webmasters:

Thank you to those webmasters who have already made the switch to our new RJ Web Builder Calendar plugin. With the first wave of sites set up, we were able to fix some additional glitches and add a few more features. You can now filter by category in the backend Event list and search features have been added to the calendar page. You can now search for a specific date, all events in a category or a single event.

If you haven’t switched over to the new plugin, I would recommend doing so immediately as we continue to have issues with the old Events Calendar plugin. Please review the tutorials we have created to help you set up this new plugin. If you have any questions, issues or need help, please do not hesitate to reach out.

In the digital age, your website needs to provide a great user experience to everyone in your community, including people with disabilities. But you may be in the dark about how to make your website accessible to anyone, regardless of disability. We’ve compiled a list of tips to make sure your website complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

If you are not sure how to perform some of these tasks, we’ll teach you. Join us on Wednesday, July 7 at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT as we discuss these tips and show you, the webmasters, how to make your content more compliant. This webinar will be recorded and posted on our help site if you’re unable to attend. Register now.

Don’t forget to utilize the Communications group or the RJ Web Builder group in The Tent as a place to share resources, ask questions and connect with other communities and congregation webmasters.

Many of our congregations are offering virtual opportunities that your members can take advantage of. Browse the Reform Movement calendar for a full list. If your congregation has a virtual gathering or program that's open to the public, submit it for inclusion in the Reform Movement calendar.

Please help me congratulate the congregations who have gone live recently on RJ Web Builder 3.0 (a full list is always available on the help site):

Staying In Touch

We are challenged in reaching current webmasters due to high turnover and changes in email addresses. If you are receiving this email, you are the person who was reported to the URJ to be handling your congregation's website. If there are additional people who need to be on this list or if you need to get off this list, please send corrected information to datamgmt@urj.org.
