Dear Webmasters:
I hope everyone had a nice Hanukkah!
We continue to add new features to our RJ Web Builder calendar plugin. You'll notice on the calendar page if you hover over an event, you will see a popup. This is called the calendar tooltip and is automatically enabled on your site. If you wish to turn it off, you can now go to settings to do so.
Previously, we created the setting that allows you to add a color legend to the top of the calendar page. This option gives users the ability to distinguish between the different colored calendar categories. Now, along with the calendar drop down to filter events, you can click on the category in the color legend to display events from a single calendar.
To set up the new calendar plugin, please review these step by step instructions to help you set up the new plugin or review all tutorials for additional help. If you have any questions, issues or need help, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Do you use Zoom? The answer is likely yes. After the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, seemingly everyone who had to work, attend school, or even socialize from home started using the videoconferencing service. The more we use it, the more comfortable we might get with the software. But that doesn't mean everything about Zoom is completely safe. To ensure platform safety, privacy, and security, take these steps to reduce the risk of a Zoom meeting interruption and make your meeting private.
A special thank you to some of our webmasters who shared their opinions and experiences with me for a new blog post. Check it out!
Don't forget to utilize the Communications group or the RJ Web Builder group in The Tent as a place to share resources, ask questions and connect with other communities and congregation webmasters.
Please help me congratulate the congregations who have gone live recently on RJ Web Builder 3.0 (a full list is always available on the help site):

We are challenged in reaching current webmasters due to high turnover and changes in email addresses. If you are receiving this email, you are the person who was reported to the URJ to be handling your congregation's website. If there are additional people who need to be on this list or if you need to get off this list, please send corrected information to datamgmt@urj.org.
